Skint's come up with (yet another) clever idea.
A Blag - not quite a blog nor a mag - but a sort of online hybrid.

It's me again!!! Do I hear floorboards creaking with the bouncing up and down of an excited Debi, disturbed woodworm setting up splinter (ouch!) groups of protest? One whole month no hear. Sorry, life's littel hurdles. But remember, redwoods live almost for ever...
I have a month of your blogging to catch up on, but a quick comment on skint's 'blag'. Good idea, but I would never send anything to anyone who reserves the right to edit me. Come on, I thought the Internet was opposed to that kind of thing. I would happily accept an editor writing to me, saying 'Look,I know your story is set in an stray cats' home, but don't you think there are too many pussy jokes?'... But to just edit me without my prior (it's not hard to improve me)agreement . Nope.
Hi Steve r
I understand your concerns so let me explain a bit.
Any editing will be by mutual agreement between the writer and the editor, if we can't agree then the writer can withdraw the work.
I have to do it this way because the Blag is not a blog, it is not a free for all, bloggers can do that on their own blogs.
And yes part of the Internet is opposed to that sort of thing - e.g. blogs, myspace etc, but the Blag belongs to another part of the internet, it is an independent media outlet - like any newspaper or magazine site and is therefore edited.
Hope this clarifies it.
It's the redwood!
The floorboards just gave way - been missing you ...
Ah, SeƱor Skint, that's different - by mutual agreement yes, and if no agreement, no acceptance. I'm all for an editor having the right to suggest (or even insist on, in some cases) edits. The impression I got was that this would happen (as in newsapaper letters) without the author knowing beforehand. Maybe a clarification in your guidelines?
Lady Minx, I do try to keep my pussy under control, but lately I've been feeling skint!
Miss Tetitas, the floorboards GAVE WAY ?!! M;ight I suggest a diet?
See? This is what I've missed ...
Actually our floor is reinforced concrete - it just about stood up to the pummeling.
Diet? No! She is only an iddy biddy thing, Steve - she will disappear and we can't have that.
Iddy? Biddy? THING??? Harrumph ...
