What really bugs me is 'i before e, except after c' but only SOMETIMES.
Until about a decade ago, I always pronounced 'misled' (as in'deceived' - or is it decieved'?!) as 'my-zeld' (cf 'miser'). A nice word that ought to exist.
My friends are teaching themselves Slovenian...NOW there's something to conjure with!
Aaaah spelling.
You raelly shuoldn't wrroy abuot prpoer Egnslih. Acocrnidg to scnienists it dones't mtater if yuor spllenig is on the dogdy side becusae the brian srots it out - hrooay!!
Probably only works if your brain is already scrambled.
