The blogosphere is 10 years old

10 years.

Can you believe it?

My blog is 1 year 2 and a bit months old and I can't imagine life without it.

But the first blog started back in April 1997.

The Guardian Unlimited News blog has a great round up of the last decade.

I may never move away from my laptop again ...

You will need an adult nappy supplier - big time! Luckily I have salvaged ten thousand from The Napoli-which should see you out!

They say blogging has finally reached its plateau and that while many abandon their blogs the ones who will continue blogging will be those who've blogged for a very long time. For my part, I'm hoping for a hasty transfer back to Novapulse!

Mutley - that's so thoughtful. I'm lost for words ...

Me - hi and welcome. I have an all-purpose blog and a book news one.
Wonder how many other people are multi-bloggers ...

Aty - don't gooooooo ...

I've been blogging for eleven months Atyllah, does that count for a long time? I'm also trying to drop a hint about something that's happening at the beginning of next month. You got to hang around for that.
And Debi I have my short fiction blog which has actually been woefully neglected, I've knocked up two comments in the whole time it's been up and the last post was in August!

Mutley's napkins will save you, poor hooked fish, from getting waterblogged!

Verilion - I swam across the pool to see Miss Havers.

10 years? Incredible. Where was I?

Like V, I run two blogs, a main one and a place where I stuff all me short pieces - also very neglectful! Not sure how all these multi-bloggers cope.

I've only been blogging for a year now and only wish I'd discovered it sooner.

blogging is just too engrossing -the house could fall down around me some days and i wouldn't notice!

Well, have you heard, now they're hoping to censor blogosphere by creating a civility code - you can find the link to the article on my blog in today's post. Given what they say, there is nothing for it but for me to return to Novapulse because I'll have become illegal. Fancy that!

PS V - I will try to hang around, unless I'm ordered off the planet, which seems a very likely possibility...

My blog is still a mere babe, only 6 months, but I'm enjoying it. It's easy for me to let time run away blogging though and I think a bit of discipline wont come amiss...!

V - dunno whether to be tantalised or worried. You're not going anywhere are you???

Fisher - alas too late. Glug glug glug ...

Minx - you were probably busy living in the Real World. Remmeber that place?

Marie - me too. Whcih worries me.

Rivergirlie - house? Was there once a house here?

Aty - the law is an ass. And will therefore also be illegal ...

Jan - blogging and discipline are contradictions in terms I'm afraid.
