Deep in the ether, something stirred ...

Now what's going on??? Problems, problems, problems ...

1) Someone somewhere has decided I'm sending out spam and is blocking my emails - though not all of them ...

2) I can't see my latest posts on my own blog! The last one is the meme thingy. Where's me bleeding conkers??? I presume you can see the post as you're commenting, but I can only access it via my dashboard ...

3) Ditto re comments. According to what's on my screen, no one's commented at all. But you have! Again I can only see them via following email links or via dashboard.

Now this is all very silly! I'm not going to spend all this time/energy chucking things out into the ether if they just disappear off. Could someone let me know what you're seeing your end?

I mean, I don't mind the stupid spacing I get on my links (though sometimes it sorts itself for a while - just to wind me up) but losing whole posts - nah, I'm not having that ...

Hi Debi, am seeing you loud and clear.

yep seeing you no probs

as for spam - I get dozens of returned e-mails every day as if I sent them in the first place , it's just crap spam filters that are easily fooled by some charlatan hijacking your e-mail address - it's a huge probelm for me as I get literally hundreds of spam every day as well

have you tried a refresh/reload on your browser, sometimes holding the shift key down while clicking on refresh/reload forces it to read a new page

you could also try clearing your cache / browsing history as it can get clogged up

I had problems the other day with Firefox not checking for updates

If you use Internet Explorer try switching to Firefox and vice versa

good luck

Hi Debi, everything looks fine to me too.

I wish I could help but I'm not very good at this stuff.

You is all here, but can you see us?

Loud and clear. And, yes, horse chestnuts. Terrible. I just started noticing them the other day driving along Kingston Road. Glad to hear there are still some disease-free ones left in the country. And thanks for the nit check. Little monsters. Tho since we've gone from primary to secondary school they've miraculously disappeared. In the US, I'm told, children are sent straight home if any are found. I wish they'd do that in the UK.

I see it all "a la blog" too! Conkers'n'all!
But if you have sent me an email - I've not received one. I'll send the one I promised, not tonight, but very soon! (Need to re-research the list...)
Best,
CFR

Blogger is going down the drain! I will NEVER return to it after the way it's treated me (locking me out, not letting me comment etc) so they can sling their merry old hook as far as I'm concerned.

I'm hearing others saying they're having trouble with it too, so I'm guessing your particular problems are due to the change over to the new Blogger.

Like Skint said, it could be that the old page is stuck in your cache. That's happened to me before.

My work verification is grvils. I see that as a cross between weevils and gremlins (or the other way round). Both nasty little things that completely bugger up your hard work!

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I suppose it's better this way round)ie you can see stuff but I can't) but it's still a monumental piss off.

Bearing in mind that I'm a techno turd (as opposed to a techno nerd) could someone explain how to clear the cache? Words of one syllable please ...

And Cfr - yes, I have emailed. Just tried again ...

And if you're reading this, Joan, I think a couple of emails to you have got through but a 3rd just bounced back now.

Oh and a hearty welcome, Amanda. Good to see you here. No, no - nits are not monsters. They're PETS! See? Does that make it any better? Nah, didn't think so ...

Whahey! Proactive or what??? Just worked out how to clear the cache and ... it's worked! How excited am I? And it CAN'T be a coincidence that I had just done that next post re listening to life's messages ...

Hi Debi, just reporting in to say, I've not received anything.
I think this bad techie stuff is catching. When I fired up tonight, I had all of two minutes before Symantec crashed on me. I restarted and all seems fine now. But I'll be running a full scan soon.
The blogger word verification is a laugh this evening. I'm asked to type in "rmune". I reckon it's short for "r u immune". Clearly not!
