Safe and good sounds

The weekend certainly lived up to expectations.

You wanted visuals, so that's what you'll get.
(Unfortunately it was all I had too, since I was/am deaf as a whole row of posts.)

We started off with lunch here - which, you'll be delighted to know, included gin and chocolate cake.
Drumroll: l-r John Ahearn/Wordcarver/(US), Kate B/Minx/(Cornwall), Barbara Smith/Cailleach/(Ireland), Bill Liversidge/Pundy (Scotland), Karen S/Riverwillow (Kent), Emma M/Meloney Lemon (down the road).
Oh and that's me perched at the back there - I'm the one who lacks the imagination to come up with an interesting bloggy name.

And here we are at the venue. That's Babs with Emma Darwin, fellow Bookarazzi buddy who blogs at This Itch of Writing.

And that's L Lee Lowe/Lowebrow with Babs.

I do know, in spite of barely functioning ears, that both John and Babs were predictably wonderful, as were all the other performers in a pure class eclectic lineup.

Pipe & Slippers is going from strength to strength.
And people I know and love are part of it.
Who needs ears?

Glad you had such a good time, Debi. I take it you did manage to fit everybody in then? Your place sounds about as cramped as mine - four adults in here and I think it's hard to move!

You all look remarkably serious in that group picture! And you have had your hair cut, Debi. You look beautiful and charismatic, as ever, but slightly less wild. Is this a good thing?

Glad the day was such fun.

Oh good you have the piccies up! Lovely weekend Debi - now I just have to talk you guys into coming over the Irish sea to us... :)

Sharon - yep, we fitted just about.

Maxine - the group pix did look serious. I have lots of really lovely smiley photos too but thought I'd just post the ones that included everyone. As for my hair, this was not my choice as such - check my post dated 2nd Feb.

Cailleach - whether you like it or not, you're part of the family now. Just as well I didn't say 'part of the furniture' or you'd have people sitting down on you.

Gin AND chocolate cake for lunch? Now that is indulgent! ;-)

So nice to see you all together. The Carver looks just as I expected him too - and ooh la la, just look at the femme fatale sitting next to him. Sexy Minx!

So glad you all had such a great time!

Were we serious? No, just a little nervous - a mass blogmeetle is quite overwhelming.
The event was as perfect as it could be, John and Babs were stars. My only regret is not having more time to talk.
I hope the next one comes along soon.

Talking? Were you guys talking? I just thought you were opening and shutting your mouths in piscine fashion ...

Yayy, photos! It looks like you all had a great time. What a wonderful thing to get together and see that there are real people behind those posts! :-) Boo hoo, I wasn't there. And I'm sick now with the flu for my sins.

Aw - sorry to 'hear' that, Shamey. Sending healing thoughts your way ...

What a distinguished looking group of authors, Debi. But tell me, who is the vampire that's
been recently shot with a silver bullet, in the right hand corner?

( Or is that just werewolves?)

There was enough of you to form a quorum for a Coven then....

Mel - I hope your eyes don't glow like that when you're putting the children to bed.

Mut - I'd heard a whisper that you were going to be there. Chickened out, eh? I'll set Mel and her spooky eyes on you if you're not careful.
