The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog.
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to come up with an alternative sentence using every letter in the alphabet.
Here's a sample to be going on with:
I must wear quilted boxers to pluck very jagged firze thorns.
Boatman dips across the Styx; quake not, vapid jock, gaze farewell.
Thick hazy vibe from queasy axe wielding Jap.

Erm, are you bored, perchance? I'd have a go but I'm being pursued by vampires - now there you go, work vampires into a full alphabet sentence!
;-)
Bored? Wish I had a chance ...
No - this tickled me but I can't take credit for the samples quoted.
I'd love to have time to think of things like this - instead I'm passing it onto everyone else.
Debi - have you read Ella Minnow Pea? If not, i think you'd LOVE it!!!
Who? What? Now I have to go Google ... grrr.
Hows About, Over the lazy dog,the quick brown fox jumped, Creative enough..x homelesschicken ps. sometimes its the simple solutions that work
Ha! Lateral thinking! I like it ...
I don't like being critical, but you need "jumps" instead of "jumped". Otherwise there is no "s" in the sentence.
I suspect the original sentence is the most efficient way to use all the letters (using ordinary words, that is).
By the way, there is no "g" in the "thick hazy" sentence :-)
I have just ordered your books, and good luck with getting the next two published.
Hi Pierre - welcome and thanks.
I had thought I ought to check that every letter had been used but see above re not having time ...
Luckily someone else was out there doing the proofreading!
Hope you enjoy the books.
Oooh oooh! There is a g in wieldinG!
Ha!
oops - so there is...
Incidentally, I didn't actually check "the quick brown fox", I was expecting "jumps" and was surprised to see "jumped".
I have just had e-mail stating that "Nirvana Bites" is on its way. Since Amazon don't seem to be offering new copies, I take it that both books are out-of-print and you don't get any royalties :-(
I'm exercising extreme discipline and not giving into the urge to check that every letter is present and correct in each of those samples ...
Out of print? Yikes - that shouldn't be the case. I didn't know Amazon were out of copies ...
Ah well, it's still wonderful to know people are still out there ordering them.
Hopefully you're not the only one!
hi all,i am by no means,a writer.. but arnt we dealing with past and present tense, are mission was in the past tense by the sentence in which the word used was" jumped"and the query was about the word "jumps"in the present tense..past or present, its still a lazy dog
