... you might be interested in Booktribes, a social networking site for book lovers.
Registration is free. You start by entering the title of a favourite book. This connects you to other people who like the same book and you can see what else they enjoy.
You get your own profile page and can post review as well as join discussions.
Sort of a high-tech online reading group with lots of different titles at any one time.
I'm having a bit of trouble finding enough time for breathing at the moment, so I won't be playing, but thought others might find it useful.

Useful? You mean you thought we might like to waste time having fun over there... ;-) Seriously, the site does have one terrible flaw. It asks you to type the name of one favourite book. Only one? How can any true book lover choose just one favourite book. Now, if they asked for my favourite hundred books, I might just manage.
ahhh ... but you can just do it a hundered times :)
lgynThat's an interesting looking site Debi, thanks for the link.
I took a quick browse and I find that where comments are already made on a novel, there's a link to other books that the reader in question (who commented) finds good too. It's a bit like Amazon's "readers who bought this also bought..." etc.
I think that's good as, as a reader you might discover something else you were previously unaware of and even discover a new author. I'll take a closer look this weekend and if it comes up to scratch, I'll post about it myself. After all, people love to make connections on the books they read and are usually welcome to someone else's suggestions when of proven "same taste".
A site that may prove useful to authors as well as readers, I suspect!
Sorry, don't know how those errant characters made it into the start of that comment!
