Vote Bleeuugh!

Heads up! Voting is now open for the Irish Blog Awards.

Our very own Cailleach, who blogs at Barbara's Bleeuugh!, has been nominated in 2 categories - Best Blog and Best Personal Blog. (No, I don't know either why she's only nominated for 2 ...)

So - if you don't know her already, click here. Then click here to vote.

Voting ends on 16th February . So what are you waiting for?

Hmm, yes, I'm with Minx here, dun voting a while ago, do I get a second chance, or shall I send Granny in to vote and lure away any other contestants? Granny's logic is that then Barbara could win in all the categories...

"So - if you don't know her already, click here. Then click here to vote." But if we don't know her that wouldn't exactly be constructive voting would it? Surely blogs should be voted for on their merits and not who knows who and who is friends with who?

Absolutely! And I'm sure anyone who checks out Barbara's site will agree that it's fab.

If you don't, of course there's another option. You can go to the link and check out the other nominees and vote for one of them.

Alternatively, you could not bother at all.

I consider those on my blog roll to be those blogs who I read and like. As Debi has, I would have no hesitation in promoting their lovely blogs in any way I could. Their merit is that I think they are cool and that I think that you might like them too!
So go and read Cailleach, if you haven't already. She is smart, sassy and writes some amazing poetry and prose.
If you don't like her, then as Debi says, pass on through until you come across something that does tickle your particular palate.

Goodness me! I've missed a lot haven't I? I thank and salute you Debi - this has been going on whilst I was MIG... missing in Galway.

I am slightly stunned... and mortified!

But thanks very much guys - I'm off to have a sit down and a fag....

Ah - the celebration rites of a true poet ... sit down and have a fag!
