21 words

In answer to Skint's challenge ...

Who are we?

Voices in the wilderness
Howling at the moon.
I can't hear you.
I'm locked in my head.
Can you hear me?

Well, no, not really because you can't talk on the googlyphone, but I can read your words, and say 'very well done that woman'.

Loud and clear, Debi.

well now you know why I don't usually 'do' poems. It's cos I'm crap at it and can only stand and look in awe at you Real Poets.

It's a good exercise in word economy though ...

Nicely done Debi - succinct and lovely use of that line, 'locked in my head'

Word economy is poetry - Debi, you'e hit the nail on the head - saying what you've got to say in the least and best words there are.

Lovely, Debi (did you have Granny in mind, dear, with that bit of howling?) - and oh dear, still locked in your head. Happily we can read you and hope you can read us - good thing blogosphere doesn't rely too much on sound!

I really like it, Debi. Don't think it's crap at all. Poetry is a great way to express your thoughts.

I don't think this is crap either Debi! I'm so sorry you're still locked in your head, but keep writing cos I can hear you loud and clear here.

Thanks all! Reading your amazing words often makes me feel clunky and inadequate when it comes to poetry.

But I'm watching and hopefully learning ...
