A book you can't read ...

It's here! The first novel you can't hold in your hands. Sex on Legs, by Brian Luff, is not available in printed form. Instead you can download it here and then upload it to an iPod or mobile. Total playing time is just under 6 hours.

We've been here before, discussing the future of the printed word, and most of us are convinced there will always be a place for Real Books - at least we seem to be unanimous in hoping so ...

So whaddya think? Is this a 'good thing', opening up writing to an otherwise non-reading audience? Or is it the beginning of a new age, heralding the demise of the written word?

Call me old fashioned if you like..but there's no way the smell, feel and anticipation of reading a new book, can ever be outshone by an ipod or any computer device.
...Not to mention the way re reading an old book is like visiting an old school friend.
Down with technology and down with people too lazy to read !

Ooh, er --- I make it a policy not to go near a book with the "s" word in the title, whatever the medium.

And what's all this, Confucious -- this explains this burst of commenting activity! So you are moving from MD of one job to MD of another, or is it upgrading to Chairman?

Hi Maxine - you can't just leave it like this!!! What's the aversion to the letter S? We need to know ...

Confy - enjoy week off and good luck with new job. Maybe now's a good opportunity to make an acquaintance with the toilet brush ...? I would say the iron but I share your belief that surfboards shouldn't have legs ...
