Argh! They got me!

My laptop's been infected with the techy equivalent of swine flu.

The timing is crap (isn't it always?) but it's going to take a while to sort, so apologies for absence.

I'd forgotten how it makes you feel - vulnerable, violated - like someone's broken into your home and has been rummaging through your knickers drawer.

On the plus side, it provides useful insight for my WIP, where my protagonist is going through much the same ...

I'll be back as soon as I can, meanwhile here's some music ...

aaargh, how awful! I hope you haven't lost anything. It is like a violation, isn't it. But good on you for linking to that song and hopefully cheering yourself up a bit. And since your protagonist is going through it too, maybe it is unpleasant but necessary for the sake of literature!

Thanks for sympathy, Tania. Talk about suffering for your craft ...

My Facebook account was hacked recently and yes, it felt horrible. Hope you get this sorted with the minimum of stress. (The music is certainly a step in the right direction...)

Poor baby (hands super friend a gin and tonic and a large bar of choc) - hope it gets over it soon.

And anyway, you don't have a knicker drawer!

Ha! You know me so well. Was sitting here all last week screaming at kids, 'Quick! I need chocolate. It's an emergency!'

Oh - and I do so have a knicker drawer. You don't know everything about me after all!
