All our bags are packed ...

... and we're ready to go.

First Born now has what I'd describe as a bubble cut. All bouncy curls ...
And Little Guy has morphed into Peter Petrelli.

Somehow he persuaded me to dye his hair black as well as cut it.
He said he wants to be an Emo.

I told him he should forge his own style.
He said he has, cos he doesn't self-harm.
And anyway, he's really a Goth Hippy Rock Skater.

Sigh ... the dye is my attempt at compromise ...

And I can also guilt trip him by showing the stains on my nails and jeans (while hoping he doesn't suss it's my fault for not taking them off).

I love the way kids take what there is and twist it :)

Have the greatest fun in Minxie land!

You can take your nails off? Wow! That's some feat, Debi ;)

My girls both went through 'phases'. Lise was a full-on goth for a while - had long, flowing black dresses, her hair was black, black eyeliner, deep purple lipstick... the works! She actually looked quite good but I prefer her 'au naturelle' (or close to it, anyhow). I wouldn't complain too much about hair either; Lise shaved hers off once and was bald as a billiard ball (no kiddin').

I love the way kids dress nowadays the way anything goes and theres no censure. Must admit let myself down when my youngest said his friend was emo - I thought he said omo (to all around in the sixities it was a washing powder). This threw me I started laughing and was told I'm embarassing and am the uncoolest parent on the planet - must be doing a good job as a parent - hope you get all the dye out Debi.

The small omo looks fabulous as does FB and I think we're having fun!

It's 1.00am and I'm full of champagne and chocolate. That's certainly fits my definition of fun.

Champers and chocolate, Debi? How decadent!

I'm back. Again. Sort of. I think. It's that kind of summer ...

Babs - hoping you're going to be up for some decadence Cornish style next year.

Leslie - yes! Big time! Got boxed sets of both series and watched them while on the hol before the last (???) where we had laptop but no tv.

Jan - have you been gagged? Or are you talking with your mouth full?

Ab Van - coming? Going? Search me. But you'll find no chocolate. Me and the Minxster scoffed the lot.
