If south London doesn't seem like another planet ...

... then I'd love to see you next week Thurs 29/6 from 7.30pm at Dulwich Library, Lordship Lane. The Dulwich Reading Group has invited me to their monthly session.
Entry is free and there will be wine (not free apparently) and nibbles.
I'll do a couple of readings from my books and then open up for general chat - the writing process, getting published etc. Basically, whatever they want to talk about.
I've been told to expect anything from 5-35 people. It's a massive room, so if you're in the area without anything better to do, you'd be very warmly welcomed!

Psst... is Dulwich strictly Sarf London? But in any case why would South London be like another planet? It's (mostly) a fabulous place, I grew up in South London, admittedly I haven't lived there for 16 years...

Have been to a couple of author sessions in Leicester libraries, they're really a great night out. It's brillo to meet the people who have created something that has had an special effect in your life and meeting others who have shared the experience. I went to one with a friend who was a bit snotty about libraries, but now is total convert and claims it's one of the best night out she's had!!! Just very sorry am not in that area, but up and at up 'em Debi.

Debi, I wish you all the best for this event but it is a little far to come!
I will be thinking of you.

Unfortunately, I will have to remain on planet Wales on that evening. I hope you have a really good time, especially as it's your birthday. (Oops, should I have said that?)

Incidentally Debi, I called in at my PO BOX for book deliveries on my way home tonight, (my reliable parents' address), and picked up the parcel containing your two books. Looking forward to starting them once this month's homework and study reading are done.

Thanks, all. After beginning to feel, What's the bloody point? (see post I'm about to do) you once again blow me away with your generosity of spirit.

Debi, I never go out so normally could come. However, Malcolm (AKA the Mad Professor or MP) has been made a fellow of the academy of medical sciences or something, and I have committed to going to cheer him on. I am not sure what time it ends -- the invite says 2-7 pm -- so if I can, I will come, but if I am not there, that is why.

All my best to you, I am sure it will be a great success.
Maxine.
