Hold the front page

Hmmm. The ups and downs of authordom. For reasons too complex to go into, I have ended my contract with the e-publisher and have negotiated the rights back. This means that, for a while at least, my novels will no longer be available in e-format. I fully intend to self-publish them, as well as the next three in the Nirvana series, and will be on the case ASAP.

In the meantime, if you want to know just how bumpy the road can be for authors, check out Harry Bingham's journey in his blog posts on the Writers' Workshop site. Pulls no punches, does our Harry.

Oh, Debi...sorry to hear this, but good to hear that you are still going to self publish. Sending hugs. x

Oh dear, this sounds ominous. Hope you are not too disheartened (or angry). I agree Harry's blogs at the moment are quite eye openers. Did you read Sally Zigs post today too?

Cheers, m'dears. I'm going for empowered over disheartened and amused over angry. Thanks for pointing me at Sally's news. For those who don't know her blog, this is the link: http://sallyzigmond.blogspot.co.uk/2015/02/crossing-rubicon.html

I like your last comment! Debi. But how utterly annoying to have to spend time and energy like this. I'll eagerly await them, self-published or otherwise.

I am so pleased about this - about time too.

I read both of your brilliant novels when they first came out and really enjoyed them, as they were so different from anything I'd read before or since.

I realised there were more in the series and have waited and waited for them to be published. When I saw your first two out in E books, I was so pleased as I thought the others can't be far behind.

Pleased that you are going to self publish and please keep updating on the blog - when you have time :)

Oh, hello, lovely Kath. How wonderful that you're still interested to see what my Nirvanans got up to, after all this time. I'm trying to set a deadline for getting them all out, at least as e-books. Wish someone would hurry up and invent cloning. Hope you're well and thriving. Take care.

Good on you Debi. If you'd like me to publish a book review when they're available again, please let me know.

In the meantime, a little something to cheer you up: I’ve nominated you for the One Lovely Blog Award! Find out what it's all about here: www.literarylightbox.com/one-lovely-blog-award

Best wishes.

Loretta.
